About the Music Teacher Directory
This directory is a response to queries received by The Amber Trust from parents and carers of blind and partially sighted children and young people across the UK, and the professionals who work with them. Our aim is to provide information for those who contact the charity in search of a music teacher with experience of teaching pupils with vision impairments, including those with additional disabilities.
The directory is designed as a simple platform to connect parents and carers of blind and partially sighted pupils with music teachers in their area, or who can offer remote teaching online.
As well as linking pupils with music teachers on a variety of instruments, the directory also includes teachers with experience of teaching braille music and those who provide braille transcription services.
Please note that this directory is not exhaustive and only includes music teachers who are currently working with children supported by The Amber Trust and who have consented to their information being shared.
Please read the terms and conditions carefully.
If you are a music teacher currently working with a child supported by The Amber Trust and would like to join the directory, please contact: contact@ambertrust.org. Please note this is not an open directory, and unfortunately, we cannot list music teachers outside of this remit.
Other directories of interest might include the Independent Society of Musicians (ISM) Music Directory, the Musicians' Union Find a Musician and musicteacher.com.
